Youths Ages 5-7
For our youngest practitioners, ages 5 to 7, the Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes focus on fundamental movement patterns, coordination, and basic Jiu Jitsu techniques. Through age-appropriate games and drills, we aim to build a strong foundation for physical fitness, balance, and social interaction. The emphasis is on making learning enjoyable while laying the groundwork for future martial arts success.
Youths Ages 8-13
The Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes cater to the unique needs and interests of children ages 8 to 13. Building upon the basics, this age group delves deeper into Jiu Jitsu techniques, strategy, and controlled sparring. Our instructors blend traditional martial arts values with modern teaching methods to foster a love for the sport and promote individual growth. The program encourages teamwork, resilience, and goal-setting as youths progress through their martial arts journey.
Youths Gi & No-Gi
At YYC Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we understand the importance of versatility in martial arts. Our Youth Program includes both Gi and No-Gi training to provide a well-rounded experience for our students. Gi training involves the use of traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu uniforms, emphasizing grips, and strategic maneuvers. In No-Gi sessions, students learn techniques applicable in situations without the traditional uniform, enhancing their adaptability and versatility in real-world scenarios.
